Balham & Tooting LTNs & CS7 updates
Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) and alterations to Cycle Superhighway 7 (CS7) continue to be trialled in and around Balham and Tooting, by Wandsworth Council and Transport for London (TfL) respectively.
Wandsworth Council have posted their latest update on the LTNs on their website and are asking for feedback here. TfL have posted information on the CS7 trial on their website and are holding an online community forum on the project (details here – the deadline to apply to take part in the forum is midnight this Friday 11 September). They also invite comments about the effects of the scheme, or suggestions for changes or improvements via email at streetspacelondon@tfl.gov.uk
The schemes have received both opposition and support from the community.
One Wandsworth, a group who oppose the schemes, are holding a protest in Tooting this Saturday, 12th September – details can be found here.
A group supporting LTNs, Support Wandsworth low traffic neighbourhoods - safer streets, cleaner air has been formed – details can be found here.
We’ll continue to post round-ups of updates as and when they happen.
