A plethora of brilliant new Balham businesses and community groups have sprung up over the last 3 months. Here’s our roundup in case you’ve missed any!


Antoinette has launched Drip Sauce Kitchen, preparing & selling delicious and tasty meals, straight from her home in Balham!


Balham Place of Welcome, a new regular event has launched. Held every Wednesday at St. Mary & St. John The Divine Church, anyone in the community can drop in & enjoy a tea/coffee & chat in a safe & friendly environment.⁣


Local resident Margarita, originally from Colombia, has started Novo Caeli, a business selling swimwear, underwear, jewellery, handbags & pop art all handmade / hand-drawn in South America.


Tooting Common Junior Parkrun has launched: a 2k event for juniors only (4-14 year olds) held every Sunday at 9am at Tooting Common, Doctor Johnson Avenue.⁣


Balham resident, Sue, has set up Canchat – a new support service for cancer patients at St George's Hospital.⁣⁣⁣⁣


Wandsworth Oasis Charity shop has opened at 61 Balham High Rd (where Bump to Baby used to be located)!


Charlotte's launched a new community choir, Monumental Balham, which meets every Monday, 7.30-9pm at The Bedford!


Local Mum, Laura, has launched Balham Friends, a new community clean-up initiative on Tooting common.


Balham resident, Hayley, has launched a new nutrition consultancy, Balance By Hayley.


Local resident & FA-licensed football coach, Issachar, has launched Balham Ballers, girls-only football sessions for ages 5-11.


JC has brought Coffee Bike London to Tooting Common, serving handcrafted coffee (& tea), from his eco-friendly mobile coffee cart.


Rebecca’s launched Balham Catsitter, a friendly, reliable and insured local catsitting business.


Balham resident, Sarah, has started a new dance school, Solasta Dance Academy at Tooting Bec Lido Pavilion!


Balham resident Esha has launched Omi Na-Na, a new online clothing & homeware business, featuring a collection of creative and ethical designs!


South London Stags RFC is a new local gay & inclusive rugby club, training on Tooting Common.


South London Water Polo has launched weekly recreational water polo sessions every Thursday evening over summer.


The Cyclist has opened: a new modern British pub on Balham High Road!


Shed London, a café selling takeaway coffee, sandwiches and organic wines, has opened inside the entrance to Clapham South tube station.


Local youth worker, Stephen, has launched PAD, a new term-time youth club for kids in the Balham area.


Balham resident & yoga teacher, Anna, has started teaching yoga classes every Thursday at Balham Scout Centre!


From Caracas to Balham: the Marquez-Dias family are bringing Venezuelan cuisine to South London, wit the launch of THE DOT!


Edward James Hair has opened on Balham High Road!
