Game of Thrones-inspired decor for your Balham home!
In this month’s guest blog, the team at Marsh & Parsons Balham provide us with some Game of Thrones-inspired decor for spring!
---
With Game of Thrones’ eighth and final season just over, what better time to draw on the array of locations and scenes that we’ve witnessed for some decor inspiration!
This spring season, we’re all about the luscious greens of Dorne and the vivid flowers of Highgarden, so let’s join in the hype by freshening up our homes for spring.
Below is a list of the Game of Throne locations that Marsh & Parsons are inspired by this spring.
Braavos
Braavos, a Mediterranean city across the Narrow Sea, lends itself to white walls, light woods and neutral features. Fresh flowers, soft pastels and sheer fabrics are sure to enhance your home and get you into the spring spirit.
Winterfell
Although we want to avoid all things dark and gloomy, if your interior isn’t suited to a full spring makeover, you can add a few subtle touches. Give a room a spring touch with a pop of colourful artwork, a throw or some cushions. By playing with colour blocking, you will definitely be able to liven up your home.
Highgarden
The beautiful castle of Highgarden, once home to the Tyrells in the series, was awash with floral accents and greenery. Make use of potted plants, floral-patterned wallpaper and materials, as well as mint tones to create the look.
King’s Landing
The capital of the Seven Kingdoms, King’s Landing is all about regal reds and elegant golds. Try making your interior feel more spring focused rather than stately by adding seasonal floral centrepieces, plenty of elaborate lighting features and pack those fur rugs away.
Dorne
Positioned on the southernmost part of Westeros, this location stands out for its use of bright colours, especially compared to many of the other wintry landscapes in the show. The towering palm trees, rows of orange groves and trickling fountains set a blissful scene. You can bring this sunny feeling to your home by playing around with tropical prints, exotic flowers and freshly scented candles.
