MULTI-FAITH COMMUNITY WALK WITH BATCA (Balham & Tooting Community Association)

MULTI-FAITH COMMUNITY WALK WITH BATCA (Balham & Tooting Community Association)

2018-04-06
| by Editor | Posted in Balham Charities, Balham What's On

Join Balham and Tooting Community Association (BATCA) in a multi-faith walk visiting 4 or 5 mosques, churches and temples locally.

All are invited to join in the Multifaith Community Walk hosted by BATCA and Summerstown 182 (local history group) starting at 3pm on Sunday 13th May.

The walk will visit four or five mosques, churches and temple of different faiths. You'll be warmly welcomed in, see the building and be greeted by faith leaders and members of the places of worship. Diverse faiths are a defining feature of Balham and Tooting, and this is a great opportunity to meet people of different faiths and go behind doors that are usually closed!

The walk will start at 3pm and last about a couple of hours. It'll go at a gentle pace as Geoff Simmons, the leader of Summerstown 182, recounts the history of the places you pass along the route. There'll be refreshments at the last stop.

Please book the date and support this new BATCA initiative.
