BRICK & LIQUOR APPOINTS INDUSTRY VETERAN CHEF IN AMBITIOUS GROWTH PLANS
Local South London neighbourhood bar BRICK & LIQUOR have appointed industry veteran Victor Zuriaga as Executive Chef to support the company’s ambitious growth plans.
The Spanish-born industry veteran brings over two decades of experience working with some of the UK’s largest hospitality brands, whilst his consultancy, Ziggy & Stretch, has trained chef teams and provided advisory services for a wide-range of London’s bars and restaurants – from new startups through to private-equity backed super chains.

Zuriaga boasts impressive credentials with a history of increased food sales and improved profitability, most recently achieving a 26% LFL uplift in food sales at bar group Novus Leisure. He claims this is due to his passion for consumer trends as well as his ability to nurture high performing kitchen teams.
“When I first met David 10 years ago we quickly developed a friendship based on mutual respect and admiration. He is ferociously driven and has a genuine devotion to customer experience which is quite rare.
