MEET LOCAL BUSINESSMAN, GABRIEL & HIS COMPANY, GABBY REMOVALS
Here at Balham Daily Prss we are always on the lookout for personal recommendations especially when it comes to having someone step into our home. So when we saw reviews of a well-priced, reliable, local removals man – we wanted to talk to him!
Local businessman, Gabriel, relocated in the name of love to South London 3 years ago where he found he could utilise his skills in customer service (he is trained as a professional bartender) to help people’s house-moves run as seamlessly and stress-free as possible. We asked him about all about himself and his business:
What is your background?
I'm half Spanish, half Venezuelan and I arrived in Tooting Bec chasing a girl, and shortly after that we found a lovely little home in Streatham. It's been just over 3 years and we’re loving it.
How did you get into removals?
After a short time working in bars and not feel entirely settled (I'm a professional bartender) I did a bit of research and found a job in a removals company to learn the trade. After my training I set up my own business where I would be able to work flexibly and be able to completely control the quality of my work.
How does your business work?
My business works in a human way! By speaking and having conversations with people in need of my services. Usually people have their own idea of how they want a job done so each job is a new approach. I charge for a job done, not per hour so everyone is relaxed and this relieves some of the pressures associated with moving...no-one wants to feel they’re being rushed! My prices are based on distance and the size of the job and they are competitive. I can make a living without breaking anyone's economy.
What areas do you cover?
London, England and Scotland.
Do you have a team and do you personally work on every removal job?
I usually operate alone however I operate a no surprises policy, and work with trusted colleagues when needed.
What’s the funniest thing that’s ever happened whilst at work?
Ha ha I have plenty of stories! But kissing and telling is not nice...
What does your service include?
A closed rate from the beginning until the end of of the job, carrying and lifting, loading and unloading, and plenty of patience!
What do you do for fun outside of work?
I'm a Daddy! I have 2 gorgeous girls so if I'm not working I'm with them! Besides that i love food, music, driving and eating!
Do you have to have a license or undertake any training to run your business?
I'm fully registered, insured, and I’ve undertaken plenty of training.
What are your rates?
Every client and their needs are different so my company measures distances and cargo volume and provides a quote. It’s definitely not the same moving houses as it is to take an old sofa to the tip!
It is always best to talk to me to get the best price!!
You can find GABBY REMOVALS on Facebook where he has a 5 start rating or call him for a quote on 07824 661 328.
