BALHAM POSTMAN MAKES IT INTO INDEPENDENT'S 2017 HAPPY LIST
One of Balham’s postmen, Cliff Whyte, has been celebrated in the ‘Happy List 2017’ by the national newspaper The Independent.
Many of you will recognise Cliff from his picture – and we agree with them that he is one of the happiest people we know – always with a smile on his face ready to chat, say hello, and talk about football.
Cliff is number 48 on the list of 50 people from all over the UK which includes: the couple who saved up to buy a house to give to refugees; a teenager who raised £50,000 for a hospice by selling her artworks; a foster mum who has spent 17 years supporting young people into employment; one of Britain's longest-serving girl-guiding volunteers; and the man doing 403 good deeds in a year, who hopes to inspire others to do a million more.
